Learn more about Flaten Art Museum

Every spring, St. Olaf College and The Flaten Art Museum host an exhibition for seniors studying studio art. In order to effectively market the exhibition and ensure faculty and staff support the seniors and their endeavors, Flatten selects designers to develop the brand identity for the show. For this project, I collaborated with a student design partner, Adriana Flemming, to develop visual materials for the St. Olaf Class of 2026 Senior Art Show.

Senior Show Brand Identity

To commemorate one of the largest studio art senior classes, Adriana and I wanted to create designs that boldly communicated the unique personalities of all thirty-three seniors. Focusing on incorporating a bright color palette, contrasting typefaces, and exaggerated digital imagery, each artist’s charm is enhanced.

Senior Show Poster

To capture the collage-like quality of the 2026 show that features a wide range of media from animation to lithography, Adriana and I pieced together headshots of each artist, building a layout that best served the subtle chaos of the opening event. Incorporating playful script and illustration, the resulting poster successfully communicates the show’s essence while enticing the campus community to participate in such a special night for seniors.
